I've been playing guitar professionally since my early teens and teaching private lessons since college. Boston exposed me to a whole world of amazing music that I never knew was out there. After moving back to my native west coast and graduating from PSU, I stuck around Portland to continue playing and writing music. You can hear some of my playing and compositions at these websites:

Although I hate to undercut my fellow college-educated music teachers, I understand that we are going through a terrible recession, and in such times music and the arts can fall by the wayside. I have decided to try and make a musical education more easily available to a larger cross section of society by temporarily lowering my rates. All students who enroll between now and the end of September will pay only thirty dollars per hour lesson!This means that the monthly price for lessons (all of my students pay on a monthly basis) is $120/month rather than the usual $160/month. The icing on the cake is that if you continue past September, you can continue to pay the lowered rate for as long as you study with me! This is a great opportunity to refine your skills, pick up your old music hobby again, or just have a professional help you learn a handful of your favorite tunes. Don't miss out!
